PostHeaderIcon Ford : F-100 CUSTOM CAB 69 F100 SWB 2WD SHOW TRUCK, ONE OWNER

Hello, You are looking at my completly restored 1969 Ford F100 SWB truck. It has takin me 5 years to complete. Please read and understand the entire listing before bidding. Ask any and all questions before bidding. If I think your not serious about buying the truck I will retract your bid. This description is long, and I will tell you everything about the truck. I have a 100% feedback rating and I want to keep it that way. I don't sell junk, and who ever wins the truck will be 100% satisfied, or I will not sell it! PERIOD! No games people, this is a show winner, and its just as nice on the bottom as it is on the top! Enough about that, lets get to the truck! ORIGIN: This truck was assembled in Ontario Canada, in late 1969. It was sold new at C.C. Card Ford in Cleavland TN to a farmer. Here is where it stayed its entire life. Never leaving the farm, except for the occasional trip to town for feed. This truck has never left the state of TN. It was originally Candy apple red. I will get to the reason of the color change in a minute. This truck is rare. One of the first to come out with the famous 302 V8, and C4 automatic transmission. ARRIVAL: I bought the truck in 2004 from the original owner. It sat, not running in a barn since 1993. The first thing I did was get it running. It had no oil pressure. And when I opened the engine I found out why. It looked like the oil had never been changed, or they used a real low grade of oil. Totally slugged up. After giving it a good going over, I tore into it. The entire truck was disassembled. I originally was gonna build the truck for my dad, who has worked his entire life and never had anything real nice. He wanted a blue truck, thats why its blue. As the build went along, it became something more than a daily driver. So we ended up getting him a blue 99 ranger. The last 2 pictures are of the truck before I started working on it. Babys come a LONG WAY!!!!! I was told the the mileage is correct and actual mileage, but I can't gaurantee that. Really dont matter if you ask me. The truck is all new, and I have only driven it a few hundred miles. THE BUILD: FRAME & SUSPENSION: The bare frame was sandblasted, and painted with PPG epoxy single stage frame paint. This stuff is hard as a rock, and will be here longer than we are on this earth. Both VIN numbers are visible in the frame. The truck has been lowered. We used 2" progressive drop springs in the front. The rear was lowered 3" by moving the front leaf spring hangers up, and by removing the lower over load springs. Every bushing and joint has been changed. The king pins and bushings are new! Anything and everything that can and will wear out has been changed, and painted with the same PPG epoxy. BRAKES and WHEELS: The original front drum brakes where replaced with power disc. The booster and master cylinder are new and fit a 96 v6 mustang. The rotors are cross drilled and slotted. The calipers, and ceramic pads are new. The wheel bearings, and brake lines are all NEW! The rear brakes are NEW. Drums, shoes, springs, adjusters, and wheel cylinders are all NEW! The wheels are chrome smoothys. Front are 15X8, and the rear are 15X10. BFGOODRICH Radial T/As. ALL NEW!!!!! STEERING: Every moving part in the steering is NEW. Gear box, outer tie rod end, drag link, and all the bearings in the steering column are all NEW! And of course has been painted with the same PPG epoxy. DRIVETRAIN: The original 302 engine was to abused to be put back in. So I found an 89 5.0L out of a GT mustang to take its place. The donor was completly rebuilt. NEW, crank, bearings, pistons, pins, and rings. Cam bearings, Motorsports B303 cam, double roller timming chain, Melling oil pump, and screen. New roller lifters, hardend push rods, stamped steel rockers. The heads have been ported, and polished, new guides, seats, valves, springs, and seals. New freeze out plugs. Ford racing, duel plane aluminum intake. 650 cfm Demon 4 barrel carb, with manuel choke. Stock style distributer, with vacuum advance, the points where replaced with the pertronix electronic ignition. Ford racing 9mm plug wires, motorcraft spark plugs. New water pump, and fuel pump. Ford racing chrome air cleaner, and valve covers. Accel Kool Blue Air filter. New Flex Fan, Radiator, Hoses, Clamps, and Heater Core. Hooker Long Tube Headers, with 3" collectors. The exhaust is 2.5" aluminumized pipe, custom H pipe, and duel Flowmaster Delta Flow 70 Series, and Duel tailpipes, stainless steel tips The original C4 automatic transmission, was completly rebuilt, and new torque converter installed. New universals joints. The 9" rear end was rebuilt. New pinion, and carrier bearings, crush sleave, nut, pinion seal, differential pin, bolt, axle bearings, and seals. The truck runs, and shifts like new!!!! BODY: There has been a ton of work done to the cab and bed of this truck. First the cab was sand blasted. The left and right floor boards where replaced, due to rust damage. The correct panels where used! The front left and right cab mounts where replaced. The left and right cab braces where replaced. On the left door opening, there where a few spots of rust that where cut out and replaced with solid metal agian. The left rear lower cab corner was repaired. Both left and right inner fenders where replaced with new ones. The radiator support was replaced NEW! The hood, fenders, doors, bed, and tailgate are factory original sheet metal, all sandblasted, rust proofed and painted using PPG material! The work done to this truck is beyond good work!!!! You cannot tell any of this work was done, and it looks AWSOME!!!!! This truck has never been damaged or has never been in a wreck!!!! The pictures of the underneath of the truck are before the truck was finished, and shows in detail the quality of work that went into this truck!!!!!! The hood hinges, and door hinges, have been powder coated. along with alot of other parts, to numurous to mention. Like the tailgate hinges, strikers, and seat frame. All powder coated. I have spent a war pention just on the powder coating. Every piece of exterior chrome has been changed. New bumpers, door handles, mirrors, emblems, taillight trim, head light trim, hood emblems, F.O.R.D. in the hood, side mouldings, wheel opening mouldings, antenna. ALL NEW!!!! The grill was bought here on Ebay. It came out of Washington State. It was in excellent condition, but still took me 3 months to polish to a chrome finish. It has been treated and sealed using ZOOPS Seal, and will stay shiny for upto 2 years. Then its just upto polishing and resealing it. The taillight lenses, and front turn signal lenses are new. The headlight buckets, springs, adjusters, and bulbs are all NEW! Every NUT, BOLT, SCREW, RIVET, and ClIP are all NEW!!!! This truck is the closes thing you will ever get to having a NEW 69 pickup!!!!!!!!! This is a STYLE SIDE Pickup. But I really wanted a wood floor bed. So thats what I built. The wood is Solid Red Oak, plained, sanded, stained, and polyed to a MIRROR!!! LOOKS awsome, but you wouldnt want to haul feed in it anymore! LOL! The metal strips are polished stainless steel, along with all the carriage bolts. I made the inner bed panels, to fill in the large voids in the bed sides. They give the inside of the bed the illusion of being a Step Side Bed. I also made matching panels for under the hood. Gives it a real custom look. They where not built to hide any imperfections, or rust. This truck is 100% rust free!!!! The windshield was replaced with a new one along with a new seal. The back window was replaced with a sliding window and new seal. The door glass and vent windows are factory original. This truck originaly had chrome trim around the windshield and I regret not putting it back in. I couldnt find at the time a good enough set of trim. The bed stake pockets where welded shut, and smoothed. I left the factory seams in the bed sides, I was told they where there for a reason, and frankly they add that 60's look. The underneath of this truck has been painted, not under coated like most restored vehicles. When I show the truck, I put mirrors on the ground to show it off. This truck is a Trophy winner, and I have them to prove it!!!!! The color of the truck is Ford Mid Atlantic pearl blue. The ppg base coat in this color is $637.00 a gallon. This truck used 2 gallons of base!!!! INTERIOR: A lot of attention went into the interior of truck. I used a high quality sound deadner through out. These trucks sound "tinny" if you don't. The head linner was covered in a modern material, and all the metal was painted the same exterior blue. This truck has the factory original dash pad. There aint a crack in it. The instrument cluster was refurbished, and a new bezel installed. NEW ash tray, glove box insert, sun visors, carpet, seat cover, window cranks, vent window latches. window felts, and seals, arm rests, lock knobs, steering wheel, horn button, turn signal lever, and shifter, ALL NEW!!! Every electrical switch, or motor has been replaced. Wiper motor, wiper switch, head light switch, cigar lighter, turn signal switch, blower motor, blower switch, and radio. ALL NEW!!!!! I also replaced the gas tank, and fuel gauge sending unit behind the seat, and you guessed it. ALL NEW!!!!! To finish it off I bought an embroidered blue oval set of carpeted floor mats. LOOKS GREAT!!!! MISC: I have also Replaced the battery tray and hardware, windshield washer resevoir, and hoses, all the fuel lines, and brake lines, installed stainless steel vent shades. I also found a company to make a new DATA TAG. This is better known as the VIN plate, located on the drivers door. They provide you with the correct rivets also. If you are trying to restore an old ford to this level, check them out. A.G. Backeast is there name. I also used the correct size motorcraft, battery, and also used a motorcraft alternator, and external voltage regulator. The entire wireing harness has been gone through and checked for ware and damage. Everthing on the truck works as new!!!!! I also used a late model mini torque starter, and you guessed it, NEW!!!!!! This is a breakdown of the VIN number. F10GCF96951 F10 = Series F100 G= ENGINE 302 NOTE: The 302 was a mid year addition in 1969 C= Ontario Canada Assembly Plant F96951= Production Number NOTE: Very high number, last of the 69's but first for the 302's This is a breakdown of the data tag codes. Wheel Base = 115" Axle Code 17 = 3.25 gear ratio Net H.P. = 152 @ 4000 RPM NOTE: NOT ANYMORE!!!! LOL! Exterior Color Code T = Candy Apple Red NOTE: NOT ANYMORE!!!! LOL! GVW = 5000 Ibs Trans Code G = Automatic C4 D.S.O. Domestic Special Order Code 21 = Atlanta District Body Style Code 81 = Conventional Cab. I have the original registration for the truck, where the guy bought it in early 1970. I also have the original C.C. Card Ford key chain, the guy got when he bought it. I thought that was pretty neat and would throw it in with the auction. So if you have read all of this, your probably pretty bored, or serious about buying the truck. My starting price on the truck is the exact dollar amount I have put into the truck. I have every receipt to prove that, and does not include any of my labor. If I figure a mear 500 hours of my labor, this truck would be worth close to $50,000!!!!! I have WAY MORE THAN 500 hours in this truck!!!!!!! It took me almost 5 years to finish this truck. It has been done for 3 months. I love the truck and I really dont want to sell it. The truck is parked in a insulated and temperature controlled garage. I have never driven the truck in the rain, or over 60 MPH. I wouldnt be scared to drive it to California and back, I just wouldnt want to clean it up after the trip!!!!! LOL! ABOUT ME: I have been a Ford mechanic for 22 Years! I own my own shop, and have built many hot rods, and show cars. I also build harleys. So I know what I am doing. I dont build them for a living, I do however work on them for a living. CONTACT: Your welcome to contact me about the truck any time between 8 am and 11 pm EST. 1-423-337-9751 SHOP or 1-423-404-2002 CELL. Serious buyers only, SHIPPING: The winning bidder is responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping. I will assist in anyway that I can, within reason.
