Why is my honeywell chronotherm IV thermostat screen blank?

Also, the circuit breaker did not trip, and the thermostat appears to be fine as I tried using it on another unit in the house and it worked fine. Should I contact an HVAC company or there something simple I am missing?
It sounds like there is a loose connection either in the sub bases or at the furnace. Typically when those stats go bad they just go.
