What do the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 stand for on my water heater thermostat?
I'm replacing a thermostat on my water heater, and the replacement thermostat has 1, 2, 3 and 4 on it. The old thermostat had an extra 2 and an extra 4 at the bottom of it that the new one doesn't have. I need to know if I can plug the wire that ran
If the thermostat you are getting ready to install on the water heater doesn't look exactly like the one that came off of it, then it's the wrong one. You must have a dual element unit, as there would be no reason for having more than two terminals on
